825th Engineer Aviation Battalion (EAB)
Men | ForumAlthough the Y-27 at Trier was one of the first operational fields in Germany, and Y-47 at Eshbarn was the first fighter-bomber field East of the Rhine, the 825th is proudest of the TAD at Thionville. By working on a 24-hour schedule in bitter winter weather, this field was completed ten days ahead of schedule, and later accommodated record air traffic.
