Sgt Anthony F. Nigara
819th Engineer Aviation Battalion (EAB)
National WWII Memorial Honoree
Sgt Nigara wrote a letter to General Eisenhower after the war was over requesting the discharge of himself and over 600 fellow members of the 819th EAB. They were headed home within two weeks.
