843rd Engineer Aviation Battalion (EAB)
PhotosGleason Dickson kept several photos of his travels to Europe. This may have been prior to his joining the 843rd or they may show the 843rd in transit. The photos show parts of Greenland.

Gleason Dickson's photo collection also had a shot of LST-509. LST-509 was launched in Nov 1943 in time to participate in the Normandy landings. It is thought that at least part of the 843rd Engineer Aviation Battalion (EAB) sailed to Normandy aboard LST-509.
