My father Rosario (Razz) Randazzo passed away last August at the age of 100. He was originally from Chicago and a member of the 825th. Prior to D-Day, he transfered with other engineers out of the 825th to the Military Police. I do not know what company he was assigned to but do know he was aassigned as a company clerk, and later as a corporal, was a night shift NCOIC pouring runways. He says the 825th build the runways for Bishop's Stortford, England which by the way are still in use. He also said the 825th built the Stansted runways as well. Anyone who has any recollection of my Dad is welcome to respond to this posting.

Ron, I'm sorry to hear about your father but I've added your dad to the 825th EAB roster.

I'm interested in his transfer to the MPs. Do you know which unit it was? The IX Engineer Command was assigned its own military police company .. the 1294th Military Police Co. (Aviation). Have you a copy of his DD214? It would list his unit at discharge. I don't have much detail on this company. Hopefully someone will be able to provide some more detail.

As I mentioned in the post about your uncle, if you'd like to create a page for your dad we can certainly set aside some space.

David
